Terms of Service
Version 2026-09-12 ยท Applies to MythosLoom
A first draft, written by the project rather than by a lawyer. It has not had legal review. Before the product is offered to the public it needs one, and the version here should be treated as a statement of intent rather than as settled wording.
1. What this service is
MythosLoom is a set of tools for tabletop roleplaying games: a character builder, and tools for the person running a game. You can create an account, build characters and print character sheets without paying. Paid features are described where they are offered.
2. Minimum age
You must be at least 13 years old to hold an account. By creating one you confirm that you are.
We do not ask for your age or your date of birth, and we do not store either. Accepting these terms is the declaration. If we learn that an account is held by someone below the minimum age, we disable the account rather than quietly keep it, and we will tell the address on the account that we have done so.
Where you live may set a higher minimum for services like this one. If it does, that higher age applies to you.
3. Your account
- Keep your password to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- Give an email address you can actually receive mail at. It is the only way we can let you back in if you forget your password.
- One person per account. Do not share an account with someone else.
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. What that removes, and when, is described in the privacy notice.
4. What you create
Your characters, campaigns and notes are yours. We do not claim ownership of them, and we do not use them to train anything.
We need permission to store your content and show it to you and to the people you deliberately share it with โ for instance, the other players in a campaign you join. That permission is limited to running the service and ends when you delete the content or your account.
5. Game rules content
Reference content in MythosLoom comes from the System Reference Document published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence, with attribution preserved. No closed rules content from any publisher is included.
Nothing here is endorsed by or affiliated with any game publisher.
6. What you may not do
- Attempt to reach accounts, characters or campaigns that are not yours
- Upload content that is unlawful, or that you do not have the right to upload
- Use the service to harass anyone
- Attack the service, or try to work around limits on it
We may disable an account that does these things. Where we do, we will say so to the address on the account.
7. Availability
This is a small project. The service may be unavailable, and features may change or be withdrawn. We will give notice of a significant change where we reasonably can, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Printing your character sheets is free and always will be, and that is the intended way to do it.
8. Ending the arrangement
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time.
We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms. If we end an account for any other reason, we will give reasonable notice and, where you have paid for something you have not received, refund it.
9. Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect loss, or for loss of data you have not kept a copy of.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change materially, we will tell the address on your account and record the new version against it. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting the new version.
11. Getting in touch
